OPI Mani – Dont Give a Rotterdam!

IMG_3991I know I only just changed my nail polish but working in a beauty salon makes it so tempting to change up my colour every few days or so!

Today I went for this gorgeous shimmery grey! Its called “Dont give a Rotterdam!” by OPI.

On the ascent nail I have “Lucerne-tainly look Marvellous” by OPI ..Ye I dont get it ether! I love this colour so much! Its more a gun-metal grey. I wish I used it on all the nails. Maybe next time!

What colours have you been loving this Autumn?

Have a beautiful day! xxx

Primarks Nail Wraps

IMG_0808I was in primark the other day and saw their Nail Wraps. They were on sale for 50p!! Originally there £1 which is still a massive bargain. So I picked up a pack just to test them out. The ones I got as you can see..are leopard print with clear and orange sparkles on.

Iv tried nails wraps before and have a love-hate relationship with them you could say.  I find the sizing to be really off! Sure enough I found the primark sizing to be off as well. I don’t think I have odd sized nails?? The length is fine because you can trim/file them down but the its the width that is ether too wide or too narrow.IMG_0806

Application – Nail Wraps are easy enough to apply. You peel them off the sheet and stick them to your nails! Easy enough. You then file off the ends to neaten them up.

First Impressions – They feel cheap, like their going to peel off your nails as soon as you touch something but I think for a one evening use there perfect.

Removal – Simple and fast. Just peel them off with no   hassle of  nail varnish remover. The wash off the sticky residue.

Pros

  • The price
  • The design
  • The simpleness of the whole application and removal

Cons

  • The quality
  • They don’t last very long
  • The sizing is off (for me)

Overall I would say that I would buy them again for special events as they only last the evening but not for every day use.

Pamper yourself!

So we all need a day to ourselves. A day to pamper, relax and take time out. Here are a few of the ways I like to relax.

Step 1. Take a bath!

blogbath The first thing I like to do is take a nice hot bath. Light a few candles and use your favorite bath2bath products. My favorite is Mmmelting Marshemallow Moment Luxury Bath Melt from https://www.lush.co.uk

It’s brilliant for dry tired skin and has a lovely sweet smell that lingers on the skin.

maskStep 2. Face mask!

My favorite face mask to use are the Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks because there is such a wide variety of them. From Mud Masks for blemishes to Peeling Masks for stress.

Firstly I would do my usual facial regime of cleanse, exfoliate, tone then I would use the face mask, leave it on for the appropriate time (see packaging). Wash it off with warm water and pat dry. Apply mouisturing and any serum that you usually use.

Your skin should be left feeling refreshed and clean.

Step 3. Nails!nauls

Give yourself a manicure. This can take practice but it saves so much money in the long run doing it yourself!

Remove any nail polish that is already on there, file and use the nail polish of your choice. Quick tip is to use a cotton bud and nail varnish remover to neaten up the edges of your nails. After all…No ones perfect!

I always feel so much more put together after doing my nails.

Step 4. Take some time out!

  • Read a good book
  • Watch a movie
  • Surf the internet, check out your favorite blogs
  • Have a nap

Whatever you fancy doing to just chill out. It’s completely up to you.

Heres a good book that I am currently loving if you need any ideas 🙂 The Perks Of Being A Wall Flower by Stephen Chbosky

And your done! By this point I am usually stuffing my face with my favorite food. I defiantly recommend Ben & Jerry ice cream! yum!

Just a quick note to say that none of these pictures are mine and this is completely my opinion, there are a lot of ways you can pamper yourself and its completely different to everyone.
