Lush Swap with Natalie ~CatchAnEye

IMG_4987Hi everyone! ❤

My Lush obsessed has grown slightly since the last time I blogged…Oops..BUT I have found someone equally as obsessed as I am! She is called Natalie and she has a blog on BlogSpot. You guys should defiantly check her out here.

Im kinda stuck in a rut with Lush, I tend to stick to what I know I like and what works for me. We came up with a great idea to do a Lush swap. We gave each other a budget of £20 to pick out our favorite Lush items for each other. Getting the package was like Christmas.

I tried everything she got me so I wont do a full on review but I will give my first impressions of everything.

Angels On Bare Skin – Fresh Cleanser

IMG_4988

This fresh cleanser is both for the face and body. It is supposed to leave your skin nourished and feeling soft. It certainly does what it says on the tin. It smells very….earthy with a hint of lavender. That’s the only way I can describe it. It isn’t unpleasant but it isn’t great! “This incredibly gentle cleanser is made from 100% natural ingredients. Inspired by a mediaeval recipe and topped off with lavender flowers, this contains kaolin to absorb grease and dirt, leaving skin clean and nourished. Lavender oil and rose absolute calm the skin. As you mix your solid cleanser with water to form a paste, the ground almonds create almond milk which helps to tone and brighten the skin. This can be used all over your body as well as your face.

I put a small piece into my hand and added a small amount of water to turn it into a gritty paste. After cleansing my face my skin felt super soft and clean without that tight feeling you get with some cleansers. Iv been using it for around 2 weeks now and have seen a huge improvement with my skin!

Would I buy this again? 100% yes!

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

IMG_4989

This is funny because I ordered this for Natalie to try out! Iv tried lots of the Lush masks and never really found one that my skin loves…or lets be honest…smells that great! Hallelujah I have found my facemask!!! I think this is my favorite item Natalie picked out for me. It smells amazing…Doesnt taste as good as it smells…Dont pretend like you havent tried! It leaves my skin silky soft. “Rhassoul mud, which is highly absorbent, works with cocoa powder to draw out all the dirt and impurities and give a deep cleanse. Fresh mint stimulates and tones the skin, whilst linseed and cocoa butter soften and moisturise. Smooth a generous layer of this mask onto your face and leave for 10 to 15 minutes.”

I’m not sure how often you are suppose to use this but I use mine around 3 times a week just because it’s so damn easy! I have seen a MASSIVE improvement with my skin…So much so I bought one for my boss to try!

Would I buy it myself? I already did!

Space Girl – Bath Bomb

PicMonkey Collage

I had to hop in the bath as soon as I opened my package! Holy Moly it smells sooo good! ITs a very fruity, almost blackcurrant kind of smells. I was a bit worried the red glitter would get everywhere but it really doesn’t! The smell lingered on my skin for a good 24 hours! “A space-dust filled bath bomb with a sweet and fruity fragrance. Once you drop this into your bath, Space Girl crackles with space dust (popping candy) as it spins around your orbit, restoring your good cheer. Grapefruit oil is refreshing and uplifting for the mood, clarifying and toning the skin, while bergamot makes you feel relaxed and cheerful.”

Would I buy this myself? Oh yes! Its going to be one of my favorites!

Rose Jam – Bubble Bar

Yet again I had never thought to try this. It just didn’t look as exciting as some of the others. The smells is so sweet but not sickly like I found The Comforter to be. Unlike some of the others you do need to use the whole thing to get a decent amount of bubbles. It left my skin silky soft and smelling of roses! It’s such a gorgeous little bubble bar! “Pep up your spirits in a bath filled with Rose Jam: lemon, rose and geranium oil will help perk you up, while coconut oil and shea butter leave you feeling gorgeous. You’ll end up feeling as cheered as though you’d been given a bunch of flowers. Rose oil and rose absolute give a double dose of rosiness, helping to clear the mind and boost your mood.”

Would I buy this for myself? Yes!

So that was our little swap! I absolutely LOVE everything! Girl…you did good!! I would recommend doing this to anyone.

Stay tuned for our future swaps and don’t forget to check out what I picked out for the beautiful Natalie here!

Have a beautiful day xxxxx

4 Easy Halloween Makeup Looks

PicMonkey Collage

Hi everyone..long time no see…SORRY! But I am back! We all came up with simple Halloween makeup looks that are easy and are perfect for last minute ideas!

image9A black cat! Probably one of the most simplest yet effective Halloween looks! To complete the look why not add cat ears!

image7

Step 1Start by creating an even skin tone. We used a face powder a few shades lighter for Sian’s look.

Step 2 – Using a black pencil eyeliner follow the shape of the brows and fill them in. This will define them and make them stand out!

Step 3 Create a cat eye by extending the eyeliner into a wing shape. Do the same to the inner corner of the eye.

Step 4 – Paint in the nose! There are many different options for this but we decided to keep it simple! Don’t forget to connect your nose to your lips with a thin black line.

Step 5The whiskers! Draw three dots just above your lip and 3 lines across the cheeks image8to great the whiskers. For best results use a liquid eyeliner and try to do it 1 sleek stroke.

Step 6Last but not least, the lips. We decided to add a touch of red to the lips and create an ombre effect with the black eyeliner. All you need to do is apply the red how you normally would then use the black pencil liner as a lip liner. Ever so slightly drag the black into he read and there you have it!

image3 (1)The china doll. We think a cute collared dress would go with this look perfectly!

Step 1  – As with the first look, start by creating a flawless, doll-like skin tone. We again used a powder a few shades lighter to give Becky a paler complexion.

Step 2 – Fill in the brows using a colour the same shade as your hair. This gives the doll a more natural look.

IMG_3398Step 3 – Find the area around your eye socket. You should be able to feel this quite easily with your finger. Once you have found it, using a black liquid eyeliner draw a half circle joining it to the corners of your eyes. For a doll-like look draw in lower lashes. You can even use false lashes!

Step 4 – Fill in the half circle under your eye with white eyeliner or face paint

Step 5 – Apply liquid eyeliner to your upper lashes and apply a generous amount of mascara. The bigger the better! Again apply false lashes if you have them.

Step 6 – Apply a bright pink blush to apples of your cheeks. Apply dots randomly mimicking freckles.

Step 7 – The lips! Cancel out your lip colour using concealer. Draw the lips in using a black eyeliner pencil. Fill in your lips using the same ombre technique as the first look!

image4

The witch! This would look perfect with a long black wig!

Step 1 – Create a flawless base with a pale foundation

Step 2 – Fill in the brows with a black eyeliner and trace round the edges with an eye-shadow of your choice, ideally the shade you will be using on the eyes.

image5

Step 3– Pick 2 shades of the same colour. With the lightest colour apply it all of the lids. With a fluffy brush apply the darker colour into the crease of your eyelid blending it out well.

Step 4 – Apply a generous amount of liquid eyeliner to the top and bottom lash line. As with the cat look wing out the eyeliner for a more dramatic look.

Step 5 – The lips. With the same technique as before create an ombre effect on the lips. This time emphasize the bow of your lips using the liquid liner.

image6Step 6 – This step is completely optional! We decided to get creative and draw a spider web and a spider. For a better effect we went over it with a grey eyeshadow.

image1 (1)This look is really simple yet really effective!

Step 1 – Apply a matte black eye shadow directly onto the skin. No need to be neat. Map out where you want your bruises to be and cover the entire planned bruise with the black eye shadow blending out the edges.

Step 2 – Using a dark red lipstick place small dots over the bruise and blend them out with your finger. This gives the bruise more dimensions and makes it look realistic

Step 3 – Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you are completely happy with your look!

Have a spooky day!

July Beauty Favorites ~ CatchAnEye

image(2)I have had so many beauty favorites this month but I wanted to keep it short and sweet! so I picked my absolute favorites!

image(9)Soap and Glory ~ Smoothie – Breakfast Scrub

I am always in the market for a good body scrub, I get through them like nobodies business! I have never tried Soap and glory but have heard amazing things so I thought I would give this a go. Let me tell you…the smell!! If you don’t buy this at least go give it a smell. Its made with oat, sugar and shea. The combination makes it smell like caramel. The sugar gives you a good full body exfoliation without leaving you feeling sticky. Iv used this every couple of days since I got this around a month ago and as you can see I have made the tiniest dent compared to the amount you get.
You can pick it up online here for £8

Fotor0803154536Clinique Chubby Stick ~  06 Woppin’ Watermelon

I got this free in Glamour magazine, which is amazing because they retail for £17 full size. I’m pretty sure this isn’t full size but its a decent sample size. I have found now the weather is a tad warmer its far more enjoyable to use. Before it felt like I was trying to smear crayon on my lips. In the heat it has become much easier to apply. Its a sort of “my lips but better” colour. Its nice and sheer but as a pop of colour. I don’t really like the smell though.
You can pick it up online here for £17
Fotor0803155123So Susan ~ Universal Blush

Personally I hate the look of blush on me. I have never found one to suit my pale complexion. I got this blush in a Glossy Box and decided to give it a go. It claims to work with your skins natural chemistry to create a universal healthy flush that is flattering on all skin tones. I think it actually lives up to its claims! A little goes a long way and it gives me a gorgeous glow! I dont think I would pay full price because it is kinda expensive, but if you can get it on a deal or find it on eBay, go for it!
You can pick it up here for £17.95

image(7)Rituals ~ Magic Touch Body Cream ~ Cherry Blossom & Rice Milk

I’m pretty sure I have mentioned this in a favorites before but its still going strong! I love everything about this. This smell especially. It sinks in to your skin quickly and the scent lingers for a good 24 hours! The only down side is I am quickly running out! Its time to repurchase this one.
You can pick it up here for £5.50

image(10)MUA ~ Undressed Eyeshadow Palette

This is said to be a superb dupe for Urban Decays Naked Palette but for a fraction of the price! I cant shed any light on this I’m afraid as I have never tried the Naked palettes. It is the perfect neutral palette. The shades are all shimmer except for 3 matte shades. I can use this from day to night and would defiantly recommend it!
You can pick it up here for £4

Fotor0803154352The Body Shop ~ Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream – 01 Light

I’m almost done I promise! I saved this one till last because its my favorite out of the lot. It is one of the only BB creams I have found that is light enough for my pale complexion. A little goes a long way and it doesn’t cling to any dry patches. The coverage isn’t the best but its a great base for concealer for those with problem skin! It comes in 3 shades so give it a go!
You can pick it up here for £8

So there we have it! What are your July favorites??
Have a beautiful day! xxx
